The backbone of our company is built on our 10 Promises to Our Clients:
- 24-HOUR TURNAROUND: With so many social media channels, having to wait 4-12 weeks to have your professional photos ready for you to post is just not realistic. That’s why I promise at least 25 photos ready for you to share on social media within 24 hours of the completion of your event. In addition to that, I guarantee all of your images from your event completed and delivered within 2 weeks of the completion of the photoshoot.
- ALL PHOTOS EDITED: I don’t believe in sending over unfinished products to our customers. That’s why, instead of only giving you a select number of photos for me edit (then charging you more for any additional edits), I perfect every single photo that I send to you via the latest tools in editing software, at no additional charge to you.
- FREEDOM TO PRINT ANYWHERE: With so many places to order inexpensive, high-quality prints, it makes zero sense for me to require you to order your prints through me – and overcharge you in the process. (I’m a photographer – not a printer!) Therefore, I release all print copyrights over to you when sending your images, so that you can print them at your convenience and at your vendor of choice. Hooray for saving time and money!
- PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE: Because kids, dogs, and relatives always behave, and never wander off, or have meltdowns off-schedule – right? (I’m looking at you, sassy grandma!) After, quite literally, hundreds of photo shoots, I’ve learned the tips and tricks to calm down and work around even the most distracted or cranky subject. However, that can take time. That’s why we offer our clients an extra 30-minute window on our photoshoots for those more tricky clients (i.e. pets, babies & kids, and sassy grandmas), at no extra charge.
- LOVE IS LOVE: My motto is, “If it’ll sit still for half-a-second, I’ll photograph it.” Therefore, we don’t discriminate against anyone requesting our services. Regardless of race, gender & gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, culture, nationality, country of origin, immigration status, class, anything else you can think of, we’re just happy that you chose Four Herons to photograph your event! You want me to photograph your llamas getting married? I’m there! Love is LOVE, baby!
- THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF PHOTOS: A repeated complaint I’ve heard from clients is how they’ll wait for weeks for photos, just to have the photographer dump 2,000+ images onto them, and ask the customer to narrow the shots down for the photographer to edit. Uhhhhh, WHAT???? What the heck did that photographer do for the past eight weeks?! I take my job as not just a photographer, but also a curator and an editor seriously. Selecting me as your photographer means you just get to relax on your photoshoot, and know that you’re going to get the right amount of completely edited photos, without any additional effort on your part – and quick.
- WILL TRAVEL FOR PHOTOS: If a US Commercial airline travels there, then I’ll go! While my primary coverage area is San Diego County, I am happy to travel for photography – and I have! 19 states and 21 countries, and counting! I charge a very reasonable travel surcharge for the following counties: Orange, Los Angeles, Imperial, Riverside, and San Bernardino. (Please see our pricing page for more information.) For pricing regarding travel outside of these local areas, please contact me directly, and I’d be happy to work with you on an affordable package.
- I AM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER: I’ve heard too many horror stories about people hiring a super slick (and expensive) photography company – only to have the barely-trained intern show up, and the head photographer nowhere in sight. There is no outsourcing at Four Herons! If you hire me to be your photographer, you can expect ME to be there to photograph your event. (What a concept!)
- IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU PROCESS: Every single client is different; every single shoot is different. So, why would the planning process be the same for everyone? I take pride in working with every individual… as an INIDIVIDUAL! From discussing what you’re looking for in your photos, to sharing photo examples, to comparing “vision boards” (calling all fellow Pinterest junkies!), I’m so excited to work with you to create a smooth day that produces the photos that you’re looking for.
